About Small Groups
Why Small Groups?
We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Sharing life with a community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why small groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.
What Are Small Groups?
A small group is an intentional gathering of people where you can connect with others on a regular basis who share your interests, who are at a similar stage in life, or who have experience in an area where you would like coaching.
Why Join a Small Group?
It is through doing life together that our problems become smaller and God uses others to bring healing, support and encouragement to our lives—whether we realize we need it or not. Your small group will quickly become a place where others don’t just know your name, but care about what is happening in your life.
Interested in Joining a Small Group?
We launch small groups at the beginning of each semester- fall and spring. These classes meet for a duration of 8-12 weeks. Each semester you will get the opportunity to sign up for a small group, and you can try out as many as you like. In addition to our semester small groups, our men's ministry and women's ministry meets monthly. Contact Wayne Hudson, our small groups leader, for more information.
Interested in Leading a Small Group?
Pray
Start by praying for God to lead you into friendships with His people. Pray for God to give you the courage & boldness to lead a group of your own and ask for Him to remove any barriers that are keeping you from true community. Pray for God to reveal to you the type of group to lead.
Plan
Your small group is your personal connection to LifePointe Church. In small groups, you will get to know church members and make lasting friendships. There are many groups that will represent your current stage of life. When you are ready to lead, sign up to lead a small group for either the fall or spring semester and attend the leaders training. Talk with Wayne Hudson, our Small Groups Leader, to learn more.
Participate
When small groups kickoff, lead your group each week. You will have a leader to lean on who will also be praying for you throughout the semester. Not only will you grow spiritually, but you’ll make lasting connections as you learn that many people share the same struggles as you. You’ll have the opportunity to be poured into and to pour into others. These groups are a place where you can experience life change and be set free in Christ!
